Songlists

For me, as I write, each log or echo is inspired by, or becomes attached to, a song. Returning to this series has reinvigorated my listening and expanded my musical tastes, which has been an unexpected and meaningful gift of the process.

Writing again has changed my ability to be present in the world. It has deepened my appreciation for what we have now and what we may still lose. These characters and this story are something I truly love and enjoy creating. The music adds another layer to my experience of these chapters and to this chapter of rediscovery in my own life.

You are welcome to listen along.

A Note on Listening

Music in Echo Drift is not decoration. It is memory scaffolding. Some tracks precede events. Others linger after. A few are only fully understood in retrospect. Each list follows the emotional and signal progression of the story, moving with the characters and the chapters. If you would like to follow along to the log and echo mapping you can download the music matrix.
